Compuware has unveiled Vantage 11, the latest edition of its flagship IT service management application. This version features a performance-driven service model, unified performance analysis, and comprehensive end-user experience (EUE) monitoring.
"Vantage 11 is the market's only unified solution to combine proactive identification of issues from the end-user perspective, quantification of business impact, isolation of problem area, and deep-dive analysis for root cause elimination," says Rich Bentley, Compuware's director of product marketing.
The new edition offers end-to-end visibility into performance across the whole application infrastructure, making it possible for users to isolate and resolve problems efficiently. The automated, performance-driven service model combines business and IT metrics with intelligent business rules and relationships to show realistically how IT supports the business.
The unified performance analysis makes it easier for users to find and fix the root cause of application performance issues by including everything between high-level service views and detailed troubleshooting tools. The comprehensive EUE monitoring provides visibility into overall service delivery and its resulting business impact.
Once a problem is found, Vantage helps resolve it. "By monitoring end-to-end performance, Vantage quickly identifies the bottleneck. Then, the appropriate IT person can be assigned to troubleshoot and fix the problem using deep-dive capabilities from Vantage or third-party products," Bentley explains.
The product further enables business service management by dynamically linking IT infrastructure availability and performance with application components to business-oriented IT services.
"By identifying the root cause of issues, Vantage helps IT avoid 'war room' scenarios that may occupy many of a company's best IT resources for days at a time," Bentley notes. "With Vantage, companies have been able to reduce IT support staff by 30 percent."
Targeted at IT operations, application management, and IT executive leadership, Vantage is priced starting at $100,000.
