Melissa Launches Listware Desktop, Open Source Developer Tool for Rapid Application Development

7.17.18

Melissa, a leading provider of global contact data quality and identity verification solutions, today announced Listware Desktop, an open source data cleansing tool. Listware Desktop brings all of the data cleansing and data enrichment capabilities of Listware into a flexible, scalable desktop software. Listware Desktop leverages the inherent benefits of open source, and is freely available to anyone to download and modify. Developers and end-users are empowered to customize data cleansing workflows to best meet their unique business needs and make them their own.

This lightweight batch application also powers Rapid Application Development. Developers can quickly utilize Melissa Web services to validate and correct data, interpret result codes, and understand how production data can be enhanced with data quality routines – all without having to do much coding.

“Developers now have access to a flexible open source data intelligence tool, backed by decades of global data quality expertise for all types of platforms and industry applications,” said Admound Chou, vice president of product development, Melissa.

Listware Desktop is the latest addition to the Listware product family, which includes plugins for Excel and online interfaces. The tool cleans and enriches People and Business Data quickly – verifying, updating, and standardizing global address, email, phone, and name data. Color-coded reports make it easy to identify how many contact data elements were verified, corrected, or bad, and what changes were made to the original data.
