PollenTech Joins the ARM mbed Partner Ecosystem

11.09.2015

PollenTech Oy, a leading software development service provider for Internet of Things (IoT) devices and microcontrollers, announced today its membership in the ARM® mbed™ partner program. With PollenTech’s embedded software design expertise, IoT device manufacturers and silicon vendors can easily customize or update their product offering from the low level device drivers to the ARM mbed IoT Device Platform thus enabling faster time to market.

“We are excited to join the ARM mbed community,” says Pauli Ponnikas, CEO of PollenTech Oy. “Our team members have an average of 15+ years of experience on mobile platforms and embedded software development. We have hundreds of millions of devices shipping in the market running our code on them.

The IoT market has many similarities with the traditional mobile and cellular markets in terms of low power, low cost, optimized memory and CPU cycle consumption and the need for robust and reliable operation. We are bringing this knowledge to our IoT customers to tackle these challenges.”

“PollenTech Oy brings additional breath to the ARM mbed partner ecosystem,” said Zach Shelby, vice president of marketing, IoT business, ARM. “With proven success in embedded software development, they will be a valuable asset for mbed developers and partners.”

“IoT devices come in a variety of different forms and flavours”, says Marko Vainio, CTO of PollenTech Oy. “What is obvious from discussions with our clients is that a significant amount of software tailoring is needed in order to address the unique requirements and features of their IoT devices.

PollenTech’s goal is to be the trusted partner for embedded software development by executing in timely manner and shipping quality solutions.”

PollenTech will be available during ARM TechCon 2015 in Santa Clara, California to meet with mbed ecosystem partners and clients requiring embedded software services.
