Analysts Say New Syspro Container Tracking Module Fills Void

01.28.2015

SYSPRO, a provider of best-of-breed, award-winning enterprise resource planning (ERP) software for on-premise, mobile and cloud-based utilization, has announced that additional industry analysts have reported very favorable reviews about the new SYSPRO USA Container Tracking Module which was recently previewed at an analyst gathering in Boston.

The Container Tracking Module helps organizations visualize and manage supply chains that span multiple departure and destination locations. The application is designed for distribution entities, as well as manufacturing organizations.

Robert Kugel, Ventana Research, in his paper, “SYSPRO Offers Supply Chain Visibility for Midsize Companies,” terms the new SYSPRO [USA] Container Tracking Module, “ ‘the missing link’ that enables tracking the location and projecting the expected arrival of products, parts and supplies . . . enabling a company to manage its supply chain more intelligently . . . Knowing exactly what inventory is in which containers, which containers are on which ship and when individual ships are expected to arrive provides the ability to play and allocate inventory further back in the supply chain with greater certainty.”

Cindy Jutras of Mint Jutras notes in her paper, “SYSPRO US Provides Critical Visibility with Container Tracking,” that the new software is “a real solution for a real problem.” Among the many benefits of the new software, which is “both affordable and pre-integrated to the SYSPRO ERP solution,” says Jutras, are:

  • The ability to track shipments both at an order line level as well as a summary level;
    Better visibility to inventory;
  • The ability to analyze performance by product origin;
  • A single source of the truth.
