Aptean Acquires Vision

06.11.2015

Aptean announced today the acquisition of the Vision® software solutions business from affiliates of Cinram Group Inc. Vision software solutions provide cloud-based Supply Chain Inventory Management and Business Intelligence solutions for Fortune 100 clients in home entertainment, electronics, and publishing. Vision solutions capture and manage inventory data for more than 100 retailers and 47,000 stores in 18 countries. The solutions provide inventory visibility and demand planning to manufacturers and retailers, enabling them to respond quickly and bridge the gap between retail supply and demand to increase profitability.

“The Vision cloud-based supply chain technology provides retailers with flexibility and agility to manage inventory levels and be more responsive to changing customer demand,” said Kim Eaton, chief executive officer, Aptean. “The holistic framework of Vision technology is designed to increase efficiencies and improve customer service— key characteristics of Aptean’s suite of products.”

The Vision Inventory Management platform serves as a central hub for customer’s business-critical data, maintaining inventory levels in real time and providing detailed analytics to drive decision-making.

“Combining Vision with Aptean will allow Vision to grow and prosper as part of a bigger software services provider and continue to provide exceptional service to Cinram clients in the future,” said Steve Brown, chief executive officer, Cinram.

The Vision solutions suite includes category-wide forecasting, product level management, product mix analysis, and recommendation, replenishments, reverse logistics, customized retail solutions, and product performance reporting. All solutions can be integrated with existing management tools, and can be selected as a full package or as individual modules to address specific needs.

Cinram was represented in the transaction by Atlas Technology Group LLC.
