Dataguise Now Certified on MapR Converged Data Platform 6.0

05.08.2018

Dataguise, a leader in data-centric audit and protection (DCAP), announced today that its DgSecure platform has been certified with version 6.0 of the MapR Converged Data Platform. DgSecure is a premier data-centric audit & protection platform that delivers simple, powerful software for sensitive data governance. The MapR Platform simultaneously runs analytics and applications with speed, scale and reliability, enabling companies to achieve greater value from data through DataOps.

Dataguise software integrates with MapR through APIs to provide data-centric security – including sensitive data detection, protection (encryption or masking), monitoring, and auditing – for the data stored in MapR data lake repositories.

Product certification is part of the MapR Converge Partners Program and makes it easy for customers to identify partner products certified to work with MapR. Customers can use these products and solutions to lower project risks and realize cost savings over custom built solutions. With hundreds of members worldwide, the MapR Converge Partners Program includes best-of-breed partners with the shared commitment to bring the best expertise and business solution for each unique customer need.

“Dataguise and MapR are a powerful combination to deliver the data governance, security and performance required for mission-critical applications,” said Geneva Lake, VP worldwide alliances and channels, MapR Technologies. “Our joint customers will benefit from the Dataguise data-centric audit and protection capabilities while processing next gen applications on the MapR Converged Data Platform.”

The MapR Converged Data Platform converges all data into a data fabric that can store, manage, process, apply and analyze as data happens. With MapR, companies benefit from a powerful modern data system, where volumes of data from files, tables and streams are ingested once and accessible as a single source from on premises data centers, across clouds and to the remote edge.

DgSecure helps organizations meet existing compliance mandates and prepare for new regulations, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) going into effect later this month. Dataguise is the only vendor in its category to provide end-to-end sensitive data security, compliance, and governance to help address the data privacy requirements of the GDPR. The powerful software detects, protects, audits, and monitors sensitive data in real time across enterprise data repositories, both on premises and in the cloud—all from a single platform.

With a policy-driven approach, DgSecure identifies and protects sensitive information with consistent procedures across data stores for total security and compliance of data at the source, in flight, and at rest. The solution is ideal for organizations seeking to access sensitive information for business analytics or other purposes as it provides the flexibility to have centralized policy control and/or decentralized control with broad policy guidance from a single interface. Administrators have the option of anonymizing data through masking or using encryption as required across any data repository on premises, in the cloud, and within hybrid environments.

“We are pleased with the certification of DgSecure on MapR’s Converged Data Platform, and the opportunity to work with organizations who need to access sensitive information for business analytics or other purposes,” said JT Sison, VP, Business Development & Marketing, Dataguise. “MapR Platform users can now simultaneously run analytics and applications with speed, scale and reliability, with the assurance that their data is protected and compliance requirements are met.”
