DivvyCloud Launches BotFactory.io for Cloud Infrastructure Automation

11.16.16

DivvyCloud, a leading developer of innovative technology to automate and optimize cloud infrastructure, has launched BotFactory.io to help Amazon Web Services (AWS) users close security gaps, save money and ensure compliance with best practices.

BotFactory.io is specifically designed to support small- and medium-sized organizations as well as security, devops and IT teams within larger enterprises. The solution continuously scans public cloud accounts for a wide variety of security and compliance issues, providing users with up-to-the-minute visibility into the health of their cloud infrastructure. Users can employ a virtual Bot Army to take autonomous, real-time action to remediate common problems based on best practices and user-defined policies.

Users can run BotFactory.io’s 100+ Bots to identify issues and fix problems within their AWS account at no cost. Pricing tiers are available for multiple cloud accounts, additional users and to automate broader cloud footprints.

Examples of common cloud problems addressed by BotFactory.io:
• Network Security – auto detect and remove non compliant security rules
• Shadow IT – eliminate orphan resources thereby reducing cost and attack surfaces
• Downtime – turn off dev/test instances at night for upwards of 50% monthly savings
• Data Protection – limit instances to approved cloud regions and enforce proper encryption of databases.

DivvyCloud and its active user community continue to extend BotFactory.io by adding new filters, actions and integrations, thereby allowing users to address new risks, opportunities and increasingly complex challenges with public cloud deployments today and into the future.

“BotFactory has been delivering great value to our enterprise customers like General Electric and Discovery Communications,” said DivvyCloud CEO Brian Johnson. “We are excited to enable broader adoption with our hosted BotFactory.io solution. Any customer of public cloud platforms can get value from BotFactory.io within a matter of minutes, no matter their skill level or cloud size.”
