HCL Software Announces Cloud Native as a Service Offering

HCL Commerce, the transaction platform that helps customers sell more, is immediately available as a cloud native-as-a-service offering – HCL Commerce on HCL Now. It is powered by the HCL Solution Factory (SoFy) and lets customers unlock the full potential of the cloud native commerce platform. This offering is designed for companies that need the convenience of SaaS but want to avoid cloud vendor lock-in, prevent data-sharing with competitors, and gain more control of security and compliance.

This HCL Commerce Summer Release also delivers new capabilities that help optimize the user experience and deliver further cloud native benefits, including:

New Page Builder for React Storefronts – Delivered as part of the reference storefronts introduced in version 9.1, merchandisers can now easily change the experience using drag-and-drop capabilities on all pages for immediate effect.

New Business User Tooling for Search – In the latest release, insights were enhanced into search performance to enable merchandisers make quick changes to search experiences, such as search trends and search terms by revenue.

Cloud Native Database Support – A cloud native commerce platform needs a cloud native database. By offering support for HCL OneDB, a cloud native database with an extremely small footprint, HCL Commerce achieves near-zero downtime, better horizontal scaling for high availability, improved data replication between data centers, and higher scalability and performance.

The HCL Commerce Summer Release is available immediately on the customers’ premises or the cloud of their choice, delivered by HCL Solution Factory (SoFy) and HCL Now.
