Profisee Rolls Out Cloud-Native Containerized PaaS MDM Solution

06.15.2020

Profisee, a pioneer in master data management (MDM) solutions, today announced the immediate availability of its next generation cloud-native multidomain MDM platform. Offered as the industry’s first and only containerized Platform as a Service (PaaS) MDM solution, the 2020 R1 version accelerates digital transformation projects of all types by enabling companies to establish the right balance between cloud scalability and multi-domain flexibility in their MDM deployment. Containerization has become a key component of cloud architecture and planning due to organizations’ growing needs for simplicity and elasticity. Profisee’s new PaaS platform provides effortless configuration and can be rapidly scaled up or down to achieve objectives while maintaining a consumable price point.

According to Gartner’s January 2020 Magic Quadrant for Master Data Management Solutions, “The MDM market is showing a significant move from high cost and complexity to license flexibility and implementation agility.” Containerization and PaaS deployment drastically accelerate this move to truly deliver on the promise of the cloud.

“We see master data management deployed as a managed service as being a critical element of the modern data estate. Profisee’s PaaS offering for MDM on Azure will be of great benefit to our customers,” said Mike Flasko, Partner Director of Product Management, Microsoft.

The use of container technology has increased by 50 percent since 2019, indicating a growing trend – and its perfect fit – for scalability and portability for any cloud deployment. Enterprises continue to look to containerization for production because it automates deployments and enables reproducibility. While containers and PaaS have existed for some time, organizations are rapidly embracing the combination of the two technologies as they enable developers to pack all the code needed into the container, which the PaaS then builds upon to run and manage the application.

Profisee MDM is already known for its’ true multi-domain architecture and rapid deployment. New features of the latest cloud-native, PaaS MDM platform release include:

Workflow 2.0 – Simpler UI for quicker implementation.
Continuous Matching – Real-time matching and survivorship to support higher volume, real-time updates.
Enhanced Survivorship – Supports complex survivorship requirements out-of-the-box to minimize implementation effort.
Forms 2.0 – Streamlined user experience for simpler implementation.
Stewardship – Improved usability for data stewards.

“As an organization’s business grows, its’ data grows as well, but at a substantially greater rate. This increase is only beneficial if the data can be used to gain insights to understand performance and improve operations, but too often the data is fragmented, inconsistent and cannot be trusted. Master data management is the key to building a trusted data foundation and to achieving a data-driven culture,” commented Len Finkle, CEO of Profisee. “Profisee’s new cloud-native, PaaS MDM platform is a true game changer that enables organizations to deploy faster, cheaper, and with more flexibility than ever before allowing them to build a trusted data foundation across their business.”
