Reflector Becomes First Mirroring technology to Receive iOS 9 Compatibility

09.11.2015

The Reflector 2 screen-sharing app used by educators, gamers, presenters and tech enthusiasts is now the only wireless screen-mirroring technology compatible with Apple’s new iOS 9 software.

iOS 9 features a complete overhaul of the built-in AirPlay technology that allows iPads and iPhones to wirelessly communicate with external devices. AirPlay pairs iOS devices with Reflector 2, wireless speakers, Apple TVs and other wireless content-sharing technology on the market.

“iOS 9 altered the way AirPlay connects to external devices,” Squirrels co-founder Andrew Gould said. “It was a curveball for the entire screen-sharing market. Now that Reflector 2 is compatible with iOS 9, users should expect faster connections, feature improvements and entirely new capabilities as we continue to develop for the new operating system.”

The Reflector 2 update is available now as a free upgrade for current Reflector 2 users. Simply select “Check for Updates” from the Reflector 2 preferences menu or download the new version from the Reflector 2 download page.
