TBR Welcomes Rowland Shaw to Strategic Business Consulting Division

04.22.2015

Technology Business Research, Inc. (TBR) is pleased welcome Rowland Shaw as head of the new Strategic Business Consulting division. With Shaw at the helm, the division expands TBR’s capabilities and provides consulting in conjunction with TBR’s syndicated and custom research. The Strategic Business Consulting division furthers TBR’s mission to serve the growing demands of clients as they navigate challenging business situations and ever-changing market dynamics.

“The unprecedented business model transformation possibilities driven by the Internet of Things and cloud across all enterprises and TBR’s leadership in the analysis of the ICT domain provide the perfect match for the establishment of the Strategic Business Consulting division and transformation decision platforms,” said Shaw.

Prior to joining TBR, Shaw was a vice president of Strategic Development at Ericsson Inc. North America, and held positions previously in R&D, marketing, sales, and business and strategic planning. Shaw brings more than 25 years of experience to TBR, including many spent with a focus on strategy and consulting, market intelligence, analytical assessments, and market forecasting. Shaw’s role at TBR will tap into his experience and knowledge gained from working in the development of global strategy and processes, providing consulting abilities that complement TBR’s syndicated and custom research. Shaw’s insight into unique business models and passion for innovation make him the perfect fit to lead TBR’s Strategic Business Consulting division and expand the consulting capabilities TBR provides for clients.

“As we see demand from our clients for increased decision support and alternative suppliers of consulting, the timing seems right to best leverage our core content and establish TBR as a high-value provider of solutions to issues prompting business model transformation,” said Jon Lindy, president of TBR. “Rowland’s know-how, experience and vision not only ensure our success, but our clients’ also.”

Personalized business consulting and customer research are critical tools needed to navigate the specific issues businesses face as they transform in the market. Under Shaw’s leadership, TBR’s Strategic Business Consulting division will provide the solutions TBR clients need to understand changes in their markets and capitalize on opportunities to expand their profits.
