ConnectWise Acquires ScreenConnect

02.11.2015

ConnectWise, developer of the leading business management platform designed exclusively for technology companies, today announced that it has acquired Raleigh-based ScreenConnect, a leading stand-alone remote control solution.

“ConnectWise has an unmatched commitment to delivering its partners the most extraordinary solutions in the global marketplace and our acquisition of ScreenConnect is further proof of this,” said Arnie Bellini, chief executive officer, ConnectWise. “Not only does ScreenConnect immediately boost our capabilities in the remote support space, but it is a game changer for the technology service provider market; we’re excited to be at the helm.”

ScreenConnect delivers lightning fast, hassle free, and secure remote control from any computer or device in the world to any other computer or device. They are recognized as an industry leader in customization, functionality, and return-on-investment. Following the acquisition, ScreenConnect will remain headquartered in the Raleigh, NC area and will look to immediately expand their organization. They will retain their corporate culture and product development capabilities that customers have come to rely on.

“During the past several years, remote control functionality has been heavily relied upon in LabTech, and it’s something we’re excited to continue our investment in,” said Matt Nachtrab, chief executive officer, LabTech. “By having ScreenConnect’s best of breed remote control as the default remote control in LabTech, we’ve seen a 95 percent improvement in time to connect and a vastly improved user experience. Combining these two technologies has truly created a greater solution that we believe delivers value to our existing customers and expands our global market presence to better serve new channels and verticals.”

Through the integration, LabTech will solve the needs of its existing partner base by providing a reliable, fast and secure remote control solution. The integration is expected to immediately extend the investment companies are making in LabTech’s technology. ScreenConnect will be available free of charge with the upcoming release of LabTech 10.

The acquisition comes at a time when ConnectWise and LabTech are rapidly expanding their product portfolio and advancing commitment to investing in the platform approach through open APIs that solve for different solution channels based on a variety of needs, complexity, size, budgets and markets.
